Mit der Geburt ihres Kindes blickt eine junge Frau anders in die Welt. Wörter schwinden, während Liebe und Verlustphantasien sie vereinnahmen. Erst jetzt erkennt sie, wie stumm ihre Mutter und Großmutter im Leben stehen.

In ihrem neuen Roman zeigt Paulina Czienskowski in zyklischen Bewegungen, was es bedeutet, zum Echo zu werden – drei Frauen, drei Mütter und ein neues Leben, das enttarnt, als wäre alles mit Spiegelfolie ausgekleidet.

With the birth of her child, a young woman looks at the world differently. Words disappear while love and fantasies of loss take over her. Only now does she realise how mute her mother and grandmother are in life.

In her new novel, Paulina Czienskowski shows in cyclical movements what it means to become an echo – three women, three mothers and a new life that reveals itself as if everything were lined with mirror foil.
